Coach Cat Makes Big Splash in Miami

Coach Cat (or more formally Catalina Martinez) has been accepted into a doctorate program at Florida International School in Miami, Florida. While we're glad for her to have this opportunity, the KCST family will miss her greatly. Catalina has this to say to the KCST family: "It has been a pleasure for me to coach the bronze group for the past year. It was great to see the improvement in the kids, and how their hard work paid off in the swim meets. I would love to see them grow into the great swimmers I am sure they will become. However, I have to pursue my PhD in Florida International University as this school has the program I need to accomplish my professional goals. I wish the Cobras the best in the future, and I am very glad to have had the opportunity to be a part of you all."

One-Call Service Coming to KCST

KCST will be signing on with the One-Call service beginning in Aug. This service allows us to get the word out to our families quickly about short-notice changes in schedule due to weather conditions or other unforeseen events. All you have to do is provide the two phone numbers (per family) you wish to have contacted and you'll receive a voice mail providing timely details about cancellations or delays. Please send the two numbers you wish to have listed to vice.president@kcstcobras.org only if you plan on swimming with the team in the 2009-2010 season. Thank you.
